In this daily blog (and video)-series I take a first impressions look at the best mobile games that I come by. Be sure to share your favorite mobile game with the rest of us in the comments below!
Based on a best-selling South Korean fantasy novel, Dragon Raja is a story-driven gacha action RPG (ARPG) with real time PVP and 30 vs 30 guild battles in addition to the 17 chapter campaign where I found myself spending more time dabbling in the epic story that unfolds than actually playing the game.
The music and skill animations screams quality, and fighting feels amazing, with a combat system that includes both a block and "roll" mechanism, making for some interesting fights.
The iAP do go all the way up to $100, but the premium currency is obtainable through quest and achievements in-game, and is primarily used to acquire new heroes, which I haven't found the need for yet.
Overall, the game was one of the better experiences I've had on mobile in quite some time, and I was immediately hooked for a couple of hours after installing.
